There are only so many times that one can wish one`s life away. To be in the wishing realm is to miss out on the magic of now. Wishing is a projection of one`s self to a faraway place and in so doing one denies the magic of the present moment. You say that sometimes the now moment is not so tantalizing or appreciable but it is, regardless, the only moment that you have, so why would you waste it wanting to be somewhere else or doing something else? It is simply a habit of mind to want to be doing something else than what you are presently doing.
When you come right bang into the moment there is a fullness that is revealed. You begin to see beyond the contours of the experience that you thought you were having and you begin to realise that there is only a limited perception to the experience that you had defined for yourself.
Behind every moment is the revelation of life itself. It is so immense and overpowering that you prefer to contain it, curtail it even, but the invitation from life itself is to begin to embrace the overpowering quality of itself. Let it overwhelm your senses and shower itself upon you in all its majesty. To access this there are three simple keys:
1. Be grateful in every moment that life itself is coursing through your veins.
2. Be present to yourself, in the moment that you are in, without judgement, criticism or expectation.
3. Breathe consciously, in and out.
With these three keys, you open yourself to the overpowering majesty of any moment.
