Do not criticize yourself, ever. If you knew how to do things differently, you would.

Continue to try constantly to discern a more loving way to live, for that is the eternal quest. However, do not beat yourself up for not having done better in the past. That is such a waste of time and precious energy. If you had known differently then, you would have behaved differently.

So, embrace the preciousness of this now moment and create from now, all the while actively loving and encouraging yourself with full confidence along the way.

Take yourself lovingly by the hand and, with faith, hope and trust, lead yourself forwards.

Some things the last eight years have taught me:
– Although it may really not feel like it, life is ultimately for you, not against you.
– Life is tough but very very beautiful and extremely precious. You cannot give up ever because there is too much to learn, too much to discover, too much to treasure and too much to enjoy.
– What can look and feel like punishment is a secret door to freedom. Surrender it all.
– The searing emotional pain becomes the compassion with which you live your life.
– When it looks like there is no solution, that is the time to look further. Trust that there is always an answer, that there will always be somebody to help, that your prayers are heard.
– As a mum, you do know. You know your child better than anyone else in this world, and you do have the strength to keep going. You are the perfect mother for your children, otherwise they would be somebody else`s.
– Your child deserves only the best, as do you and your family. Advocate relentlessly for them.
– It is okay to cry. It is important to rest and just as important to move; walk, run, anything to give you the sense that you are moving forward.
– Find someone who can listen so that you can hear yourself.
– Keep creating; my husband teaches me this constantly. Create beauty in your life, however you do it. Make your home and your life beautiful for you to be in.
– Be so very kind to yourself. The love that you are, is greater than anything that you could fear, experience or punish yourself for. Breathe it in. Rest back in its arms. Let it enfold you. You are loved and you are adored.

You must live for yourself, not for others. Stop seeking approval from others. Just do what you do, enjoying and appreciating what you do.
